Wazzu, Nevada make it 13 offers for Eletise

Well, what do you know? On Thursday, shortly after Washington became the 11th university to offer Michael Eletise a football scholarship, the Huskies’ in-state rival made an offer of their own according to his father, Nofo Eletise. Washington State made it a dozen offers for Kaiser’s 6-foot-4, 305-pound offensive lineman. Former Gov Luafatasaga commits to Ole Miss

Former Farrington athlete David Luafatasaga made an oral commitment to play football for Ole Miss next season, according to the Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance Facebook page. Raised in Samoa, Luafatasaga played linebacker for the Governors in football and forward in basketball before graduating in 2013. He is 6 feet 4 and 225 pounds and had 66 tackles for Arizona Western last fall as a freshman. Arizona State and Hawaii also offered Luafatasaga scholarships.

Utah State makes offer to Mililani’s Malepeai

Utah State offered Mililani running back Vavae Malepeai a scholarship this week, according to the Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance website. Malepeai, a key comoponent in the Trojans’ run to the Division I state championship, will play his senior season for Mililani this fall. As a junior, 6-foot, 195-pound running back rushed for 1,244 yards and 23 touchdowns and added 194 receiving yards with a TD. If it seems like Michael Eletise is getting another scholarship offer every day, that’s because it’s true. The Kaiser offensive lineman got Facebooked by coaches from the University of Washington today, and when school was done, he called them. That’s when he received his 11th offer. Six of those offers have come in the past two weeks. Eletise also has offers from Colorado, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Hawaii, UCLA, Cal, Arizona, Kansas, Nebraska and North Carolina. Tovi’s second offer is from SDSU

Mililani junior Andru Tovi has received a scholarship offer from San Diego State. Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance shared the news this afternoon on its Facebook page. Tovi, a 6-3, 325-pound guard/center, also has an offer from Utah State. He was a Star-Advertiser all-state second-team selection by coaches and media.

Life in the past eight days has not been the same for Kaiser offensive lineman Michael Eletise. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound junior has received 10 scholarship offers this offseason, and five of them have come since Feb. 11. The latest is from North Carolina. The phone calls and texts keep coming for Michael Eletise and his family. Nebraska is the newest school to offer the Kaiser offensive lineman a scholarship. The Cornhuskers made the offer official on Saturday, and the 6-foot-4, 305-pound Kaiser junior shared the news on Twitter. PIAA: Hawaii offers Konawaena senior-to-be

The University of Hawaii offered a football scholarship this week to Konawaena’s Luca Vartic, who returns to the Wildcats for his senior football season next fall, according to the Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance website. Vartic is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound cornerback, safety and kick returner at Konawaena. He has run a 4.46 40-yard dash according to his NCSA recruiting profile. Doris Sullivan, who runs the PIAA, wrote on the organization’s website that Vartic is a “top academic athlete.”
