Kaiser offensive lineman Michael Eletise received a scholarship offer from Utah today, raising the offer total to 17. Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance shared the news tonight on its Facebook page. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound junior had a wondrous two-week stretch in February, receiving a double-digit total of scholarship offers. Things had been quiet for the past week, though, until tonight. Hukilau Cafe goes 9-1 in Pylon 7v7

The boys from the Hukilau Cafe 7-man team are back home from Las Vegas with memories — and priceless winnings — for a lifetime. The team, coached by Darren Johnson, went 9-1 in the Pylon Las Vegas 7v7 Tournament. The team was unbeaten in pool play, then reached the quarterfinals before falling 29-27 to eventual champion Ground Zero of Seattle, Wash., in Sunday’s championship bracket. Of the many football players who trekked to Las Vegas for the Pylon 7v7 Championships over the weekend, a few stood out. Saint Louis wide receiver Drew Kobayashi was selected to the all-tournament third team. 247sports.com reported on the event and praised Kobayashi, currently a junior. Life is a whirlwind for Kaiser junior Michael Eletise. He’s been to the mainland and back a time or two in the past few months, taking in camps and clinics. He’s been impressive. It’s gotten to the point that any 24-hour stretch without a football scholarship offer for Michael Eletise feels odd, strange and maybe a bit like the calm before a supernatural storm. Utah State is on the chase for Kaiser offensive lineman Michael Eletise. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound junior received an offer from the Aggies today, making it 15 scholarship offers in all. From the Pacific Coast to the Atlantic, coaches are really, really enamored with Michael Eletise. Today, it’s Florida State that wants the Kaiser offensive lineman to consider their scholarship offer. Just one day after receiving a scholarship offer from Utah State, Vavae Malepeai has received one from Washington State. Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance shared the news on its Facebook page (PIAA Hawaii) this afternoon. The Mililani junior now has offers from Colorado, Washington, Hawaii and Cal in addition to USU and Washington State.
