Just one day after receiving a scholarship offer from Utah State, Vavae Malepeai has received one from Washington State.

Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance shared the news on its Facebook page (PIAA Hawaii) this afternoon.

The Mililani junior now has offers from Colorado, Washington, Hawaii and Cal in addition to USU and Washington State.

The 6-foot, 200-pound running back rushed for 1,244 yards and 23 touchdowns to help the Trojans win the Division I state championship last fall. He was voted to the Star-Advertiser all-state first team.

Washington State has been active in recent days. The Cougars offered a scholarship to Kaiser offensive lineman Michael Eletise on Thursday.
