Kahuku holds steady at No. 22 in nation

There hasn’t been much of an opportunity for Kahuku to climb any higher in the USA Today Super 25 rankings. A ranked team hasn’t loss to a unranked team since September, meaning Kahuku once again holds steady at No. 22 in the latest rankings released Monday. The Red Raiders defeated Farrington 44-8 to win their second consecutive OIA championship last Friday. Ka‘u knocked off defending champion and visiting Kohala 36-26 in a game for the Big Island Interscholastic Federation 8-man football championship on Saturday. The Trojans (4-2) now have two championships in the past three seasons. The Cowboys (3-3) failed in their bid to repeat at the top of the heap.
