Maybe an estimated 15,000 will be in attendance let’s say you charge $5 per adult for entrance 75,000 revenue. Cha Ching $$$$
Kahuku fans if you irate at a potential Kahuku vs Punahou match. Don’t spend your hard earned cash at the game stay home watch on TV. My prediction is Kahuku will win vs Punahou. Than play St. Louis maybe than an estimated 15,000 again in attendance $75,000 again in revenue cha Ching $$$$$

Im the Dumb@$$? I’m not the one who tried to pass off the seeding/pairing process for the State Volleyball tournament as the one the State Football tournament uses. If you did your research correctly you would have seen that the State Football tournament already has a system for paring/seeding. It can be found in the HSSAA football handbook. You probably had some terrible test scores dude. What a tool.

  3. Red Raider 4 Life October 30, 2016 6:30 pm

Just play the game, win, lose or draw, Big Red always ready to strap up and bang, in fact, all the other teams bang too. Just be proud of where you come from, represent yourself in the highest standards because what you do in life reflexes how you were raised.
Living here in Oregon, we miss home. However, when ANY of OUR island kids makes it to the next level in any sport up here, those of us that live up here, we show our support for all of them, ALL of them. They are from HOME.
And that’s what this is all about. No crying, no complaining, no talking down to one another, none of that. This is about our kids, all our kids. We are better then that unless that’s not what your parents taught you and that was not how you were raised.
Good luck to all the teams, no one get hurt. Let the best team win.
    Peace Out.

Sure 88, keep making up stories. So I am looking through the archives of this blog. I am wondering, how come you never met the guy the called you out to meet at lunch? And also, how come when he asked you how come you never come, you never even reply?

And for the record, this isn’t even the vball one you dumbass. It is actually the baseball seedings, but the lady at HHSAA said the language is the same.

But back to the real story, how come you act tough? But when you are called out and someone even tells you their name and where they will be you don’t show up or even say why you won’t come?

I don’t know about everyone else, but I wouldn’t act tough then not show up when someone calls me out. But then again, I am not the former water boy for Kahuku better known as 88.

@Buzz, don’t be surprised if they charge $9.00/adult. Don’t be surprised if ticket sales soar past $135,000. That isn’t including parking or concession sales.

***On a side note, can we start a fund to help 88 (Too Meke/anywaaays) get into the game? He cannot afford:

    1) a ticket
    2) transportation from Kahuku to Halawa
    3) money to buy the newest RR4L Shirt
    4) money for dinner, snacks, and drinks
    5) money to buy new pom poms
    6) transportation from Halawa to Kahuku
    7) money for a late night snack

Can someone set up a GO FUND ME for 88? I will chip in $20. Can anyone match my donation?

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF OPEN DIVISION!!!!!

Q: Why dont Kahuku fans Lobby your AD’s/Coaches to change the system?
A: We dont lobby we play! We trust that our competitors and men in charge act with integrity, instead the HHSAA

wants ticket sales and the ILH want the playing advantages. Money and Pride stand in the way of integrity

Q: You dont lobby? what are you Hawaiians with no land!
A: Screw you who ever asked that question

Q: How are the seedings unfair?
A: There are no seedings its all made up, besides the OIA#1 and ILH#1 in seperate brackets the rest are thrown

into a hat – the hat placed on the Hokulea to set sail for South America

Q: Are the “2015 STL State champs” and “2015 Mililani OIA champs” tshirts on the Hokulea too?
A: No, those shirts are going to Africa

Q: Is Kahuku scared to play both ILH teams?
A: No, its about fairness 1&4 in BracketA 2&3 in BracketB. STL is #2, PUNS are #3. Line up all 3 ILH teams to

play us if you want, just dont call it a tournamnet, call it your made-up “HHSAA/ILH Football Classic”

Q: So similar to girls volleyball. Kahuku#1,Kam#2,Iolani#3
A: yes, Iolani#3 went into Kahuku#1 bracket giving Kam an easy bracket.

Q: What do the UFC and HHSAA have in common?
A: They both create match-ups to make the most $$$$$$

Q: Does June Jones offense suck?
A: Leave JJ alone he is for the public schools so he is good in our book. yes it sucks!

    Q: Is Cal Lee overrated?
A: Leave Cal alone he just had surgery and is forever the Godfather, as far as his coaching yes overrated!

Q: Is Kale Ane the King of recruiting in Hawaii?
A: Leave Kale alone my son is a 5th grader at Hauula Elementary with lots of potential. Yes he is the king!

    Q: Is 85/educationfirst/ilove88/808savage a bipolar mahu?
A: Leave him alone he just needs some friends…and his meds cause he mad bro!

I told you already 85, being smart and trying to come off as smart are 2 different things. I still can’t believe you tried to pass the State Volleyball procedure off as the one they use for Football. Stupid but good try. But judging from your intelligence I’m not surprised.

You better play you cards correct 88. If not we are not going to do the GO FUND ME page for you. Then how are you going to see the game live? And I was going to ship in $20. That is more than you make. Well that’s not true. After you collect your welfare check you will have more. But that’s $20 more than you will make on your own without government assistance.

But I find it interesting that after 25 times mentioned by several people you have still “REFUSED” to answer the $1,000,000 question.

Why did you refuse to show up to meet EF? Are you that scared? HAHA fag. And for the record that is not the volleyball selection dumbass. And I trust the secretary for the HHSAA over the dumbass like you who won’t show up when someone calls you out….

For the record I am 85 aka i love 88.

And I am an idiot. I am an idiot for trying to help 88 get smarter and not tell lies. But I think everyone deserves a second chance. And I am trying to be a Good Samaritan by helping 88 get to the Kahuku Football Game.

If you don’t know everyone, 88 is unemployed and pissed at the world since he doesn’t know how it feels to wear a Red Raider Uniform. That is why he blogs to often and only on RR4L posts.

Let’s all be generous, open up your pockets, and donate to 88. He needs you guys!

And I still remember that the judge issued a restraining order that prohibits 88 from being within 88 feet of the football field for fear of 88 and young kids. Don’t think we forgot 88. I believe the order was for 3 years and it’s only been around 1 – 1.5 years. I hope you are following the court order buddy.

If the cleveland cavs played chaminade in basketball you think they would be complaining? from alot of the complainers here you guys say how strong kahuku is but complain about playing teams like punahou. It’s obvious that the only reason you are complaining is because you guys are scared.

Just suck it up and play the game. Follow the other kahuku posters on here with that play anybody, anywhere mentality. You guys are making Kahuku look bad and that’s unfortunate because we know how the majority of the fans are. Loyal and willing to support Kahuku in any circumstance.

  22. 85 October 31, 2016 6:18 am

I am impressed with 88. He is quick to log out and and user his aliases (too meke and anywaays). And for the record anywaaays, I only like getting peeped on when it’s you and I.

You know how we roll. You better start treating me nicely or I won’t come over anymore…

And for the record, I got the info straight from the HHSAA. I don’t need to make stuff up like you guys do, haha. HOMERS.

  23. TooMeke October 31, 2016 6:58 am

Why is Kailua chirping in here anyway?

  24. rrforlifebaby October 31, 2016 7:22 am

Kind of sick and tired of the negativity on both sides(OIA and ILH). But seriously, some of you who claim to be RRFL, stop with the whining. I agree that the reason for the Open Division is to give the ILH 2 chances at winning the championship, but nuff already. Just let the kids play whomever is placed in front of them. I’m really glad Tata is an “outsider” ’cause guarantee if it had been a “homegrown” coach, some of you so called RRFL would find a way to let this issue affect the kids.

Good luck to all the schools in all 3 division playoffs, especially the Public schools.!

    RRFL!

  26. Kailua Boys October 31, 2016 9:53 am

    @TooMeke

Not chirping just observing. I have no connection to either of the 6 teams in the open. I just want to see the best possible games and best teams in the state.

Why all the negativity here on the forums and all the complaining? No need for that! I would understand if it was educated intellectual debate but its been straight nagging and name calling. I hope people would be better than that especially people from the 808.

They should’ve just gave Kapolei and Waianae a bye instead of letting them play for nothing. This is definitely the most exiting State tournament we’re gonna see, on all levels…..hope all the games get covered. Nothing like some 808 FOOTBALL!

  29. 88 October 31, 2016 12:06 pm

@KailuaBoyz You want to see the best possible games? It aint about what YOU want to see or what the STATE wants to see. Its about whats FAIR for the kids! Thats why they work so hard during the season by kicking everybody @$$ so that when playoff time comes around they are rewarded for what they accomplished during the regular season. When the hell are you @$$holes going to get it.

It is very fair. OIA Champ got the #1 Seed. ILH Champ got the #2 seed. They each got a bye. The ILH #2 went opposite the OIA Champ like the HHSAA ALWAYS does. The OIA #2 went opposite the ILH Champ which they always do.

Kahuku is #1 since they won the OIA and the committee possibly views that league as the best right now. STL Is the #2 since they won the ILH. There are no other league champs so these top 2 are undisputed.

#3 – #6 is subjective. Since they are not from the same league and have no regular season had to head matchups no one knows who the #3 and #4 are.

Now you can say that obviously Farrington should be above Kapolei and Waianae since they all come from the same league and Farrington finished higher than Kapolei and Waianae.

But there is no clear way to say who the #3 is.

If Kahuku is #1, an argument could be made that the committee views the OIA as the better league this year. Given that, Farrington should be rated higher than Punahou.

Giving Kahuku the #1 overall seed sets the precedence that OIA is viewed as the stronger league. If it wasn’t, then STL would be ranked higher. They are not, so we need to assume the OIA getting the #1 seed makes that league better in the selection committee’s eyes.

Therefore if you use deductive logic, the seedings are:

    1) Kahuku
    2) STL
    3) Farington
    4) Punahou

Until there are head to heads in the regular season, no on can say that Punahou is the 3rd best team. There is no data that supports that.

But this conspiracy theory is getting old. It’s that adults think other adults who often are working for free are out to screw any kids.

  31. anywaaaays!! October 31, 2016 12:55 pm

    88 easy tiger

rrforlifebaby, The Kahuku Girls volleyball team were clearly the most talented and #1 in the state this year. When they met Iolani for the first time in the semi-finals they had mental break downs. Dont you think that if Kahuku played in a regular season with the ILH and a few other top OIA teams that it would help them get used to each others style? sort of like how they are pushing the conference alliance in football? well we know there will be no conference alliance in volleyball cause the ILH dominates and it wouldnt benefit them any although it would benefit teams like Kahuku and the rest of the OIA

Last year when Kahuku knocked the snot out of St. Louis, Cal Lee said on the news “In the ILH we are more of a passing league and not used to stopping the run, it would be nice to Unite both conferences”, a few months later the HHSAA/ILH pushed the conference alliance, when that didnt fly with the OIA they forced the 3 divisions in post season.

The ILH dominates in volleyball and nothing will change as long as they are winning. Football they lose in the title game 2 years in a row and all of a sudden there are changes.

    —————————————

You cannot compare football and volleyball. The ILH have won the state title in something like 33 of the past 34 years. That’s like 97%. That is absurd. And this is with the current tournament having 2 ILH teams and 6 OIA teams. And I believe that it’s been an ALL-ILH Final since 2002.

The OIA have won 10 out of 17 state titles in football. This is 58.8%. And this has been done with the ILH having only 1 team while the OIA has had 3 I think?

It seems like many OIA supporters want the decked stacked in their favor.

I thought the purpose of a state championship is to invite the best teams, not the teams from the league with the most teams.

  33. 88 October 31, 2016 1:40 pm

@EDU Really? No one knows who the #3 and #4 are. Every sportswriter, Head Football Coach and resident in Hawaii who follow High School football knows who the #3 football team on the Island is. Even the 11 member committee( Don Botelho (chair), Joe Balangitao, Chris Chun, Lyle Crozier, Raymond Fujino, Georges Gilbert, Jon Kobayashi, Kalei Namohala, Diane Nitta, Blane Gaison and Harold Tanaka) from the 2015 HSSAA Football State Tournament know who the #3 team on the island is. But did they vote to do the right thing according to team record and strength of overall wins? Thats a big hell No. Oh yeah by the way the ILH #2 did not go opposite the OIA Champ. Even you admit thats the right way to seed them.

If you go purely on objective data no you cannot. Who are the coaches who have gone on record to say who the #3 team is? Please provide me their names so I can confirm when I talk to them.

And as for the people you list above, it’s clear they seeded Farrington #3 since they are on the same bracket as STL.

Now I have listed my name on several occassions. These fine people you list above have put their names out there to try and do their best job. Are they perfect? Of course not, but at least they have accountability. You choose to hide behind a fake name yet tell others that they are doing a poor job.

When I ask you to meet in person since you like to give so many opinions, you choose not to. Are you hiding something? Are you afraid to put a face behind all these opinions?

I will be at Moku Kitchen tomorrow at 12:00pm. It’s next to Highway Inn in town. You can go to the hostess and tell them you are joining Will’s table for 3. I hope you can make it.

I would love to meet the person who says so much behind a fake name. Like I said earlier, don’t worry about paying, I will take care of drinks, food, hell you can even order out and take the food home to your family. If you need cab or uber money I can take care of that too.

    See you tomorrow buddy.

  36. rrforlifebaby October 31, 2016 4:36 pm

No doubt, the Lady Red Raiders Volleyball is stacked with talent. but you can’t discount the talent that Iolani has. They beat both the #1 and #2 teams. In case you didn’t realize, the Lady Raiders beat both Kamehameha and Iolani in the preseason, as well as placing 8th in a national tournament on the mainland.

The brackets had nothing to do with Kahuku not winning the volleyball title, and for anyone to say that discredits those young women as well as Iolani. Straight up, Iolani just got “hot” when they needed to..
In the prep bowl era, I think many people will agree that Big Red had as much if not more talent than the Crusaders. Preparation and mental fortitude coupled with talent is what finally pushed Big Red over the top.

Against other talented teams, sonetimes having more talent alone isn’t what separates the champ.

I’m not worried about the football boiz ’cause Coach Tata has got them focused and prepared regardless of who they play.

    Go Big Red!!

    You’re so full of it

88, please stop using your “originally’ username on here. It’s so transparent. It’s borderline desperate. You are trying to camouflage that you are scared and desperate. But we all see it. Even your alter-egos see it.

How sad a life it must be for all of you guys to “solely” live through a high school sport played by kids on a team that none of you played for (88/toomeke/anywaays/goodstory).

I am actually starting to feel bad for you.

@The Big Red Nation; never fear our varsity Red Raiders will take on all comers one at a time like they want to repeat proving the haters wrong; so all you Tata Inc. rest up and heal along with running through them play assignments and viewing them opponents game tapes whereas get pumped up and prepared yet not to forget that you are still the 2016 defending champions of the State of Hawaii High School Football. RR4LE

Bottom line gotta have 2 ILH teams, should’ve been that way years ago, if had this system before, kahuku probably wins only 3 maybe 4 state titles, u wanna be a true champion , beat punahou and St. Louis , then hats off to kahuku, the oia is weak this year , kahuku had no challenge, they just running over smaller schools, like usual, put them with kam, stlouis, punahou, week in week out is a challenge, garantee they don’t go undefeated

  47. Joe November 2, 2016 11:25 pm

Defeats the purpose of 2 ILH schools in tourney if the put em in same bracket lol, common sense, top of that kamehameha should also be included, every year ILH only had one representative, then when the season is done after state tourney the final rankings always has 3 ILH in top 5 lol , so how is the tourney supposedly having the top 6 in there, doesn’t make sense, a real state tourney with the best should like like this
    Kahuku
    Kamehameha
    St. Louis
    Punahou
    Farrington
    Kapolei

Regardless the ILH has less schools in conference, that’s the real top 6

Just like the college football as of right now playoffs, how they have
    Michigan
    Bama
    Texas a&m
    Clemson

Washington is undefeated and they not in the discussion, a&m has one lost and they in,

Why, strength of conference who they play

Tourney system for Hawaii football is horrendous, they need to get it right or just go back to prep bowl, 1 and 2 ILH vs 1 and 2 oia

Joe. You forgot the main reasons football teams are ranked in college. Recruiting and $$$. UH and Bama cannot compare because of $$$. Rolo don’t make 10% of what Saban earns. Sames as high school football. 49 states HS football #1 are private schools. Hawaii is not the norm. Walk the facilities at the #1 and a mainland recruiter would say “huh,no way”. You cannot buy the heart of a warrior.
