Darren Johnson is new Campbell FB coach

Darren Johnson will be the new football coach at Campbell, he confirmed Friday afternoon. Johnson was expected to be announced as the coach today on campus, when he will meet with the Sabers players. Johnson, who grew up on the North Shore and still lives in Punaluu, is looking forward to the new challenge, the source said. He is a former Kailua head coach and an assistant at Kahuku and Kapolei. It took almost no time at all for Amosa Amosa to go from former head coach at Campbell to offensive coordinator at another OIA powerhouse. Kapolei head coach Darren Hernandez announced on Thursday morning the hiring of Amosa as the Hurricanes’ new offensive coordinator.
