Hall pass: Sabrina Hollins

A case for Hall of Honor candidacy is usually made in an athlete’s freshman year, when they start their journey toward multiple state titles. That is not how Waipahu’s Sabrina Hollins played it, though, but it worked out just fine. Iolani wrestling clinic approaching

Respected coaches Dominic Boutain and Richard Goodwin will be clinicians at the upcoming Raider Wrestling Clinic beginning June 8. Boutain is the co-Head coach of Benicia (Calif.) and Goodwin is a three-time All-American from his days at San Francisco State. The clinic runs five days and is open to athletes over 11 years old. Teniya Alo carving out her own legacy

Though premier wrestler and judoka Teshya Alo of Kamehameha was away in a wrestling competition on the mainland, her younger sister, Teniya Alo, stepped up and won her first state title. The ‘Iolani freshman won the 122 weight class on Saturday at Stan Sheriff Center. Alo will probably move to Colorado to train

Kamehameha world champion wrestler Teshya Alo may not be in Hawaii next spring to go for a fourth Hawaii high school wrestling state title. The Warriors junior, who was competing Friday night in the ILH judo championships at Punahou, said she is “probably” moving along with her family to Colorado Springs, Colo., so she can train at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
