Chin remains steady on winning putt (+ videos)

By Nick Abramo on April 21, 2016

Punahou’s Andrew Chin has been a successful Interscholastic League of Honolulu golfer for three years now. He placed third in the league championship as a freshman and seventh as a sophomore. As a junior? Well, on Thursday he broke through by hanging on for a victory over Kyle Suppa at the Turtle Bay Fazio Course. Chin now has the title of ILH champion, and he deserved it after the way he braved the final hole in front of a modest […]

Nam loses by 1 despite ‘pure’ shot (+ videos)

By Nick Abramo on April 20, 2016

Poor Malia Nam. The Kaiser golfer placed second and was unable to defend her Oahu Interscholastic Association golf championship on Wednesday at Turtle Bay. Instead, Miki Manta —— the girl from rival Kalani —— won by a stroke. And this happened, in part, because Nam, in a sense, hit her approach “too good” on the finishing ninth at the Fazio Course. Rivals spotlights Tagovailoa at Pylon

By Paul Honda on March 8, 2016

Rivals.com: “Every time we’ve seen him over the last year or two, he’s been very impressive and continues to prove to be one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in the country. That was definitely the case at the Pylon 7v7 in Las Vegas where he absolutely dominated the morning session. I don’t think there’s any other way to put it. He put every throw right on the money. His receivers didn’t have to do much work. Just get a […]
