Three days after Konawaena defended its girls basketball Division I state championship, Chanelle Molina participated in the Mufi Hannemann Jamboree with sisters Celena Jane and Cherilyn and dozens of high school and ex-college players. Then she took one last shot — from halfcourt.
First try: All net.
Molina will play for Washington State next season. She was honored as Hawaii Gatorade Player of the Year for a third season in a row recently.

Other names that could be considered are Kaui Wakita, Jenny Kaeo, Keisha Kanekoa, and Hedy Liu. They all had great high school careers.
Kaui Wakita was boss!
What about Ki’ilani Spencer
Kaui Wakita dominated men.
Kii was good but not top 10. I heard she had some problems with parents coaching at two different stints coaching at her alma mater. The AD sent an email out to parents after the 2015 season informing them that she was not going to be retained as an assistant. Not all good players are made for coaching….
I think California StormPunahou player Shawna-Lei Kuehu is the greatest girl’s prep player of all time. Had the privilege of being the team manager and towel boy during many of her games.
I disagree! I think any girl who ever went to Kona is the best! I would know better than anyone! I do their laundry and watch their games all the time!!! (albeit the judge said I am not supposed to be within 100 feet of any minor).
Greg is my bestie! (wink wink)
