Kaio, a 6 feet, 1 inch and 200 pounds, simply overwhelmed Damien’s secondary and caught touchdown passes of 24, 15 and 36 yards in the first half as the Crusaders stifled Damien, 34-14, on Friday night at Aloha Stadium. The Saint Louis Crusaders saw clear skies in South Point, where they’re staying and preparing for Friday’s battle with three-time national champion Bishop Gorman. In fact, despite a warning of “Unhealthy Air Quality for Sensitive Groups” on Thursday, the team is 13 miles from the strip and hasn’t noticed anything unusual.
