Tonight’s Moanalua/Leilehua football game postponed

Tonight’s varsity football game between No. 6 Leilehua and No. 10 Moanalua has been postponed due to two of the four lights not working on the visiting sideline of Moanalua’s field. The game will be made up at 6 p.m. next Friday at Hugh Yoshida Stadium. Host Moanalua (2-0, 1-0 OIA D-I) has won each of its first two games by a single point — 21-20 vs. ‘Iolani and 19-18 at Kailua. The cat is out of the bag for Jashawn Wakefield. The Leilehua defensive lineman had himself quite a game on Saturday night in the Mules’ 14-0 victory over Kailua at Hugh Yoshida Stadium. Wakefield, who is a 6 feet 3 and 230 pounds, had a fumble recovery, two sacks and three other tackles for loss.
