Wins by Farrington in this series have been hard to come by, but from a purely physical matchup, the Govs have a shot. The big question is this: Will Farrington stay with its usual 11 starters? If coach Randall Okimoto sticks with his usual safeties and cornerbacks, that could be an issue. The Govs have had trouble […]

Cauley is a true believer in the aloha spirit

By Nick Abramo on October 21, 2015

Moanalua football head coach Jason Cauley is going back to Alabama and he hopes to bring some of Hawaii with him. He told Hawaii Prep World this week that what he learned about Hawaii and its people in his stay here will remain with him. He talked about how he’ll miss his players the most, mentioning major offensive weapon Michael Feliciano and top-notch quarterback Alakai Yuen as a few of the many he learned to love. “The players here, they […]

They want to end the regular season strong in an effort to show they deserve one of the Division II state tournament byes. On Saturday, Kapaa closes its KIF campaign with a 2:30 p.m. game against Waimea at Vidinha Stadium. “We’ve been posting some shutouts on defense and have been a little banged up […]

By Nick Abramo on October 21, 2015

Crusaders head coach Cal Lee explained recently that Tagovailoa had struggled with a recurring calf injury during that week and missed some practices. “Chev did a good job,” Lee said. “We made a coaches decision […]
