Alo homers in NCAA tournament debut

Campbell graduate Jocelyn Alo’s home run assault continued into her debut in the NCAA softball tournament on Friday. The Oklahoma freshman launched a two-run blast in the fourth inning of the fourth-seeded Sooners’ 9-0 win over Boston University in the Norman, Okla. regional. Punahou’s Tufono to visit Washington, Oregon

Maninoa Tufono‘s numbers for the day are 37, 14 and 2. The Punahou linebacker has 37 Division I offers (second only to Saint Louis defensive lineman Faatui Tuitele‘s 39 among Hawaii seniors-to-be). Kaiser’s Tiare Ikei wrestled to a national title in Irving, Texas, last weekend. Ikei, who was representing Team Hawaii, won the 49-kilogram (approximately 108 pounds) division in the FILA Cadet Women’s Freestyle division at the 2018 United World Wrestling Women’s Nationals. In the final, Ikei defeated Peyton Prussin of Team Nevada two matches to none. In the first bout, Ikei won by pin in 1:28. In the second one, Ikei won by technical fall, 10-0. Kapolei’s top 2 QBs among those transferring out

Kapolei will be without its top two quarterbacks for the 2018 season, according to multiple sources. The Hurricanes’ Kaniala Kalaola, who will be a senior this fall, has transferred to Campbell. He split starting duties with Lonenoa Faoa, who transferred in to Kapolei from Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) late last August. Faoa, who will be a junior, has transferred to Liberty (Henderson, Nev.).
