Ikei to compete in Youth Olympic Games

Hawaii wrestler Tiare Ikei will represent Team USA at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games. The event is being held for the third time. This year, it’s Oct. 12-14 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ikei will wrestle in the 49-kilogram (approximately 108 pounds) division Ikei has been on a tear recently. Wendell Say feels fortunate that his Aiea football team’s game Friday night at Kaiser is a nonleague affair. Otherwise, he would not be able to do what he is about to do. Former Kamehameha quarterback Fatu Sua-Godinet, who spent two seasons at Delaware State as a receiver, has transferred to Washington and is listed on the Huskies’ fall roster. Sua-Godinet, who joined the team as a preferred walk-on, will wear No. 85 and is listed as 6 feet and 186 pounds. Hawaii’s top seniors make Poly award watch list

The Polynesian Bowl today announced 44 players who have made the watch list for the 2018 Polynesian high school player of the year award.
