HAWAII GROWN: Sua-Godinet lands at Washington

Former Kamehameha quarterback Fatu Sua-Godinet, who spent two seasons at Delaware State as a receiver, has transferred to Washington and is listed on the Huskies’ fall roster.

Sua-Godinet, who joined the team as a preferred walk-on, will wear No. 85 and is listed as 6 feet and 186 pounds.

Sua-Godinet was the full-time starter at quarterback for Kamehameha as a sophomore and junior. He moved to receiver for his senior season but also played some quarterback due to injuries.


He threw for 2,342 yards and 18 touchdowns in his high school career and caught 31 passes for 405 yards and two touchdowns in seven games as a senior.


At Delaware State, Sua-Godinet had 51 receptions and 691 receiving yards with five touchdowns in two seasons. He was second on the team in receptions with 32 and third in receiving yards (404) as a sophomore.

The Huskies also list freshman Zion Tupuola-Fetui, a 2018 Pearl City alumnus, on their roster. Tupuola-Fetui is listed as a 6-foot-3, 253-pound linebacker wearing No. 58.
