Saint Louis’ Stanley McKenzie has been named a Polynesian Bowl All-Star. McKenzie, a 6-foot-2, 270-pound defensive tackle, made the Honolulu Star-Advertiser All-State third team last year despite playing behind Polynesian Bowl alums Faatui Tuitele and Gino Quinones. Polynesian Bowl selects Kahuku offensive lineman to game

Kahuku offensive lineman Micah Soliai Howlett has been named a Polynesian Bowl All-Star. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound senior is the 16th Red Raider to be selected to the game in the four years of its existence but just the third offensive lineman from Kahuku (Vili Fisiiahi, Enokk Vimahi). Punahou finishes in the top 10 in MaxPreps Cup

Ten years after being named by Sports Illustrated as the best high school athletic program in the nation, Punahou continues to be recognized nationally. The Buffanblu finished sixth in the 2018-2019 MaxPreps Cup, which was released Wednesday. ILH switches from Spalding to Baden basketballs

The time has finally come for change in ILH basketball. Saint Louis hires Chad Konishi as athletics director

Saint Louis hired Chad Konishi as its new athletics director, school president Glenn Medeiros said Wednesday. Konishi most recently was the athletics director at St. Francis, and before that, spent 12 years as Mike Trapasso‘s pitching coach with the University of Hawaii baseball team. The hire is part of a restructuring of the Crusaders’ athletic administration. Previously, Ryan Blangiardi and Gerald Welch were co-athletic directors.
