Kalani boys shoot down Pearl City

The Kalani boys pulled a huge upset in the OIA Air-Riflery semifinals on Saturday, beating defending champion and host Pearl City by the narrowest of margins. The Falcons move on the face Leilehua for the league team championship next Saturday, also at Pearl City. Somera stepping up in senior year

Pearl City shooter Ashley Somera shot a season-high 532 with 13 bulls-eyes in an air riflery win over Campbell on Wednesday. The Chargers remained unbeaten at 4-0. Somera, one of only two seniors on a Chargers team that is trying to defend its OIA crown, has three of the top four reported scores in the OIA this year.
