Student Sports FAB 50 region-by-region has unbeaten Punahou at No. 14 in the West Region Top 20.
The Buffanblu are listed at 4-0 by the poll, but are actually 5-0 overall after a 63-8 win over St. Francis over the weekend. Among their games is a 10-6 win at Helix (Calif.). They were dropped one notch this week, trading places with Central Catholic (Ore.).
Kamehameha is listed among the 11 “West Bubble” teams that are just outside the top 20.
De La Salle (Calif.) is the No. 1 team in the West rankings. Among the teams lower than Punahou in the poll are No. 15 Servite (Calif.) and No. 16 Long Beach Poly (Calif.).
The No. 1 team in the nation is Booker T. Washington (Fla.). De La Salle is No. 5 nationally.
