Zack Diamond of Mililani scored a 9-4 victory over Josh Gallarde of Campbell. For Diamond, it’s his second OIA championship. Radford’s Angela Peralta became a three-time OIA champion by pinning Pearl City’s Jacqueline Fuamatu in the third period. Peralta was up by a 5-0 margin when she finished it off.

Matches from Friday’s ILH dual meet held at Saint Louis. Kamehameha’s Ashley Gooman defeated Punahou’s Lindi Nakao Yamada. Saint Louis’ Corey Cabanban defeated Jarrad Baker of Pac-Five. Saint Louis’ Cody Cabanban defeated Josh Matsumoto of Pac-Five.

Major Davis hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 22 seconds left to help Mid-Pacific beat Maryknoll 35-33 on Friday. After Maryknoll’s Jordyn-Thomas Perez put the Spartans up 33-32 with a long 3-pointer with about 30 seconds left, Mid-Pacific inbounded the ball, with Jacen Kimura passing to Zion Shepherd. Moanalua’s Shawn Lu tees off at Sony Open

Moanalua senior Shawn Lu was the only amateur in last week’s Sony Open at Waialae Country Club. Lu, playing in his first PGA event, finished 6-over 146 after two rounds. His caddy was Punahou’s Kyle Suppa, who played in last year’s Sony Open.

Video: Kato moves up to beat Terukina at 132

Punahou’s Cameron Kato made the leap up one weight class on Saturday and beat 132-pound state-title contender Blaysen Terukina of Kamehameha, 10-8, in the final of the ILH open wrestling tournament. Both have won state championships previously. Kato took the 106-pound state title two years ago and is aiming at the 126 title this year.
