Pearl City is right in the middle of the pack of Oahu Interscholastic Association West softball. At 4-4, the Chargers have four convincing wins over the bottom feeders and four losses to the contenders. Two of those four losses were by scores of 5-3 against Kapolei and 2-1 against Mililani. The defending Division I state champion Campbell softball team is ranked No. 21 in the latest CBS MaxPreps Xcellent 25 released Wednesday. The Sabers (5-0) are coming off a 5-0 win over rival Mililani (4-1) on Tuesday. Dani Cervantes pitched a one-hitter to lead the way. Previously, Campbell was as high as No. 24 on the MaxPreps list.
