Moanalua sweeps Kaiser in soccer

Tyler Morton and Erik Tabiolo both scored and Moanalua beat Kaiser 2-1 on Saturday at Kaiser. Kaiser, the reigning OIA champ, suffered its first loss of the season while Moanalua took a commanding lead in the East with a 4-0 record. Keven Anderson scored Kaiser’s lone goal. SOC: Campbell girls run over Aiea

Someone finally found a way to slow Aiea’s offensive machine. Chardonnay Curran and Kiley Haraguchi each scored goals and Campbell beat Aiea 2-0 on Aiea’s field on Tuesday night. The Sabers (3-1) have allowed only one goal this year and has shut out its last two opponents. The Kamehameha boys soccer team saved its first win of the season for its biggest rival. Keola Norton and Pono Halemano each scored a goal and the Warriors beat Punahou 2-1 on Saturday. The Warriors and Buffanblu are now both 1-1-1 after the first three games of the season, looking up at undefeated ‘Iolani (2-0). The ILH only gets two division I teams into the state tournament. Kaile Halvorsen and True Dydasco both scored and Punahou won the first meaningful game of the ILH girls soccer season with a 2-0 shutout of defending state champion Kamehameha. The Buffanblu have not allowed a goal in three games this year and has outscored opponents 13-0. The Aiea girls soccer team seems to have shook off the loss of Raisa Strom-Okimoto to a knee injury quite well. Na Alii destroyed Leilehua 10-0 on Friday night, their second straight game with more than nine goals. Aiea beat Radford 10-0 to open the season. Sara Olanda scored two goals to give her five on the young season and Keani Napuunoa added two. Aiea has already had nine girls score goals and five of them have more than one. […]

Mililani has long been known as the center of high school soccer in Hawaii, and on Thursday they proved it yet again. The Mililani boys opened the OIA season with a 5-0 win over Waianae on Thursday, getting two goals from Kalahikiola JUdd and one each from Anthony Menor, Jarad Choquette and Aukahi Nolan. The Kamehameha and Punahou girls soccer teams both won matches on Wednesday to improve to 2-0 on the young season and prepare for Saturday’s showdown. Strom-Okimoto’s season over for Aiea

The state’s leading scorer from last year has played her last high school soccer game. Aiea senior Raisa Strom-Okimoto, who led Na Alii through a magical run to a runner-up finish in last year’s state tournament, tore the ACL in her right knee on Maui in Aiea’s first tournament of the preseason last month.
