Mitchell Quinn was simply sensational on Friday night, turning a close game at the half into a rout with four third-quarter touchdowns in Saint Louis’ 47-23 win over Mililani in the Division I-Open semifinals of the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Football State Championships at Aloha Stadium. The three-time defending ILH Division I champion Saint Louis Crusaders had the week off, but managed to jump two spots to No. 23 in the latest MaxPreps Xcellent Top 25 released Sunday night. Winners of 13 consecutive games overall, the Crusaders (8-0) are eighth in the West Region. No Division I college football team outside of Hawaii has more players from the islands than Oregon State. The Beavers, who signed three players from the islands earlier this year in their 2017 class and have 10 total listed on their roster, will add another next season. Offensive lineman Eliki Tanuvasa, the 6-foot-3, 270-pound starting center for the No. 1-ranked Saint Louis Crusaders, has been invited to the 2018 Polynesian Bowl.
