Herbig wows Stanford, which makes offer

Saint Louis offensive lineman Nate Herbig is leaving quite an impression at Stanford this weekend. The 6-foot-4, 320-pound senior-to-be received an offer from the Cardinal this afternoon, his ninth from a BCS school. Stanford is the fifth university from the Pac-12 Conference to make an offer to Herbig. There is a whirlwind swirling around Saint Louis junior-to-be Isaac Slade-Matautia these days. The Nebraska Cornhuskers became the third FBS school in less than three days to make a football scholarship offer to him. For the second time in as many years, the California Golden Bears have landed one of Hawaii’s top wide receiver prospects. Saint Louis’ Drew Kobayashi committed to the Golden Bears on Wednesday according to Scout.com. Kobayashi, listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, follows in the footsteps of Punahou’s Kanawai Noa, Hawaii’s all-time receiving leader, who will be a freshman in the fall. Kapolei’s Sean Auwae released his top 10 colleges of choice this evening on Twitter but said he was still open to any schools that have yet to offer the 6-foot-3, 296-pound offensive lineman. USC lands commitment from Saint Louis’ Iosefa

Jordan Iosefa, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker who sat out last season after transferring from Waipahu to Saint Louis, has committed to USC according to Scout.com. Iosefa had other offers from Oregon State and Hawaii but was a relative unknown because he didn’t play last season.
