Sources: Fred Salanoa returns to coach Radford football

Fred Salanoa is back as the football coach at Radford, according to three sources. The school has not made an announcement, and efforts to reach Radford athletic director Kelly Sur and Salanoa for confirmation have been unsuccessful. Salanoa, a former Radford and Eastern Washington quarterback, coached the Rams to the Division II state title in 2015. Passos steps down as Radford football coach

Lon Passos said Tuesday that he stepped down from his post as the Radford football coach. Passos spent the last three seasons as the Rams’ coach and went 3-24, including 2-8 this season.
