Milton might make it back before OIA playoffs end

Mililani quarterback McKenzie Milton is out for three to five weeks with an AC joint separation in his right, throwing shoulder. Coach Rod York passed the news on Monday morning after Milton visited a doctor. “It’s a mid-AC separation,” York texted. Milton’s father, Mark Milton, also confirmed Monday morning that the injury is to his son’s AC (acromioclavicular) joint. Moanalua’s Michael Feliciano was a threat from everywhere again on Saturday, scoring three touchdowns and making six receptions for 129 yards in Na Menehune’s 28-20 home victory over Campbell on Saturday that clinched an Oahu Interscholastic Association playoff spot. “He’s just an amazing player,” Moanalua head coach Jason Cauley said. “You put him out wide and they have to go with him. The Seariders’ 62-27 win had a little bit of everything, including a field goal, a safety, a recovered fumble on a kick return muff. Mililani head football coach Rod York confirmed that quarterback McKenzie Milton is likely out for the season after suffering a severe shoulder injury during the first quarter of tonight’s game at Kailua. “The bone was almost coming up to here,” York said, pointing to an ear. Milton was injured while throwing a pass downfield for a completion. “It was a legal hit,” York added. Sophomore Kaysen Higa stepped in and guided the Trojans to a 45-21 win over the Surfriders. […]
