The Polynesian Bowl announced this morning that Super Bowl winning coach Dick Vermeil and College Football Hall of Famer Terry Donahue will serve as the head coaches in the 2018 Polynesian Bowl next January at Aloha Stadium. Spring high school sports isn’t only about the various state tournaments going on. It’s also about football combines and spring football drills. Kenny Patton, the former University of Hawaii defensive back and now a fitness instructor specializing in football, will be holding the Hawaii Football Combine on May 20 at Saint Louis School. The recent spring reports in Hawaii Prep World about Hawaii-bred quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa at Alabama and McKenzie Milton at UCF have been highly positive.
