Coach Lee Leslie will always remember his short time as the Kahuku football head man. He thanks everyone involved with the program “from the bottom of my heart” in this video from his home in Idaho. Shandon Hopeau scored 20 goals and added 13 assists this season for Kapolei in boys soccer. He was a real team leader at midfield and he was named the OIA West player of the year. Kaiser’s Malia Nam and Moanalua’s Kyosuke Hara were the girls and boys winners of the OIA golf tournament No. 4 at Pearl Country Club on Monday. Punahou graduate Jasmine Mau, now a freshman at California, contributed to the Golden Bears’ lead at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with a 13-place finish in the 100 butterfly on Friday in Greensboro, N.C. Mau advanced out of the preliminaries with a time of 52.03 seconds, then posted a time of 52.17 seconds in the B final.
