OIA Track and Field championships live results

The OIA Track and field championships have begun at Mililani, and the league is providing live results. Sabrina Hollins of Waipahu has already won the shot put with a heave of 44-04, just two inches off Sarah Bryant’s League record, but she finished second in the discus to Patria Vaimoana of Kailua. Kamehameha, Maryknoll rep ILH in softball

Kamehameha and Maryknoll will represent the ILH at the Datahouse Divsion I State Softball Championships at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium beginning May 12. The Spartans beat Mid-Pacific 13-1 to wrap up the league’s second berth on Saturday morning at Sand Island. Kamehameha world champion wrestler Teshya Alo may not be in Hawaii next spring to go for a fourth Hawaii high school wrestling state title. The Warriors junior, who was competing Friday night in the ILH judo championships at Punahou, said she is “probably” moving along with her family to Colorado Springs, Colo., so she can train at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. Jordan Ng of Iolani won his fourth ILH judo title at Punahou on Friday night, and Jaclyn Fontanilla of Kamehameha took her third. Judoka to win their second titles were: Weston Kogachi (Punahou), Cole Chandler (Mid-Pacific), Joseph Hoshino (Kamehameha), Dane Yamashiro (Iolani), Tayler Miyao (St. Andrew’s Priory), Hilinai Meyer (Kamehameha), Teshya Alo (Kamehameha) and Kayla Gaspar-Takahashi (Kamehameha). ‘Iolani won the boys team title with 136 points, just three more than second-place Punahou.
