Trojans drop to No. 8 in nation; Govs rise

Mililani, Hawaii’s top-ranked high school football team, stopped Oahu Interscholastic Association Blue rival Campbell 49-21 on Thursday, but still fell two spots in the MaxPreps national computer rankings released Sunday. Both Saint Louis, a 55-6 winner over Fagaitua of American Samoa, and idle Punahou dropped seven spots, but are still in the top 50. Weekend No. 3 finally complete

The final two games of Weekend No. 3 in Hawaii high school football were finally completed on Monday after being partially played on Saturday and postponed due to lightning storms. Kailua/Kapolei postponement tough on top 10

Four teams will get the unique experience of “Monday Night Football” when Pearl City and Waialua, as well as Kailua and Kapolei, attempt to finish off games started on Saturday but postponed due to weather. The email came in moments ago with an interesting fact: Santa Margarita Catholic defeated defending champion Punahou 22-25, 25-15, 15-12 in the championship game of the Ann Kang Invitational Volleyball Tournament at ‘Iolani. The second of two Saturday games involving two ranked teams kicks off around 6:30 p.m. as No. 8 Kapolei (1-1, 0-1 OIA BLUE) travels to Kailua to face the 10th-ranked Surfriders (2-0, 1-0 OIA BLUE).
