>> With 10:50 left in the first quarter, Tai-John Mizutani connects Tamatane Aga for a 3-yard touchdown. Extra-point try went wide left. The touchdown was set up on a fumble recovery by Cameron Chang after a strip by Tanner Kai.

>> Freedom Alualu charges up the middle for a 7-yard touchdown with 5:22 left in the first quarter. Alualu’s extra-point try is well short.

>> On ‘Iolani’s next drive, a personal foul penalty, an illegal block, set the Raiders back and they were forced to punt.

>> Farrington’s next drive stalls and a high punt snap to Ryota Kony bounces all the way into the Governors end zone. Ryota chases the ball along with ‘Iolani’s Melvin Hoomanawanui. Ryota barely gets to it first and pounces on it and is downed by Hoomanawanui for a safety with 1:22 left in the first quarter.

>> Two passes from Mizutani to Keoni-Kordell Makekau covering 38 yards gets the ball to the Governors’ 7.

>> Farrington’s Tainano Gaulua stops ‘Iolani’s KJ Pascua for a 3-yard loss on fourth down and goal from the 1. Govs take over.

>> Challen Faamatau breaks through the ‘Iolani line for a 90-yard gain to the Raiders’ 8. Two plays later, Alualu bowls in from 5 yards out. A side snap to Christian Acorda results in a 2-point conversion run with 10:16 left in the half

FARRINGTON 14, ‘IOLANI 8

>> After an ‘Iolani three and out, Farrington strikes again when quarterback Bishop Rapoza hit a wide-open Kingston Moses-Sanchez down the middle for a 43-yard touchdown. Tanielu Alaivanu-Afe
kicks the extra point with 7:08 left in the half.

FARRINGTON 21, ‘IOLANI 8

>> On a fourth-down and 6 situation from the Farrington 46, the ‘Iolani’s Mizutani tried to hit Makekau on an out pattern, but the Governors’ William Prescott stepped in front of it and ran it back 59 yards for a touchdown. Alaivanu-Afe kicks the extra point with 5:47 to go in the half.

FARRINGTON 28, ‘IOLANI 8

>> Kody Leiu of the Govs picked off a long pass by ‘Iolani’s Jake Smotherman.


>> From its own 30, Farrington is facing a fourth down and 13 with 2:19 to go in the half. Punt.

>> The Raiders drive as far as the 16, but lose the ball on downs.

>> Farrington’s Justin Uahinui comes in at QB and finds Faamatau over the middle for a 59-yard catch and run to the ‘Iolani 1. Rapoza returns at QB and after a 2-yard loss, he finds Jace Baguio for a 3-yard touchdown with 8 seconds to go in the half.

>> HALFTIME: FARRINGTON 34, ‘IOLANI 8

>> ‘Iolani set to receive the second-half kickoff.

>> Farrington’s Ryota Kony makes a diving interception of a Mizutani pass. That’s followed by a Faamatau 50-yard pass reception from the Govs’ third quarterback of the game, Joziah Anakalea, to the ‘Iolani 2. On the next play, Tanu Tautolo scores on a 2-yard run. The extra point kick goes wide right.

FARRINGTON 40, ‘IOLANI 8

>> Kony makes another intercpetion, Mizutani’s third and ‘Iolani’s fourth of the day, and Alaivanu-Afe ends up missing a 27-yard field goal.

>> Farrington’s Isaiah Taumua intercepts Mizutani’s fifth intercpetion and returns it 35 yards for a touchdown with 6:36 left in the third quarter.

FARRINGTON 46, ‘IOLANI 8

>> Makana LaBoy returns the favor, intercepting a Faamatau option pass. ‘Iolani ball. 15 seconds left in the third quarter.

>> Third quarter ends.

>> The Govs get the ball back as Faasisina Masalosalo strips the ball and Aberdean Finau recovers a fumble by the Raiders’ Troy Hanaoka.


>> Masalosalo puts another dagger into the ‘Iolani cause by weaving his way to a 26-yard touchdown. The extra point misses with 8:16 left in the game.
