Yes sir, the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II champion Monarchs (6-1) — who are usually done their season in October — are in the postseason for the first time in what seems like a lifetime to the players. Although they are seeded No. 2 in the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Division I Football State Championships that begin Friday, the Saint Louis Crusaders held on to the top spot in the latest Honolulu Star-Advertiser Football Top 10 rankings released Monday evening. Kahuku rose 26 places in the latest MaxPreps national computer rankings released Sunday and are now at No. 60. The Red Raiders (11-0) are coming off a 20-7 Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I championship game win over defending state champion Mililani. The team from the North Shore, which earned a bye in the first round of the upcoming state tourney, is the the top-ranked team in Hawaii by MaxPreps.
