Kahuku rose 26 places in the latest MaxPreps national computer rankings released Sunday and are now at No. 60.
The Red Raiders (11-0) are coming off a 20-7 Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I championship game win over defending state champion Mililani. The team from the North Shore, which earned a bye in the first round of the upcoming state tourney, is the the top-ranked team in Hawaii by MaxPreps.
Saint Louis is No. 1 in Hawaii in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Top 10, with Kahuku at No. 2. The next Star-Advertiser poll will appear in the Tuesday edition.
The Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion Crusaders are No. 115 nationally.

I would like to congratulate my buddy, Kahuku Alum and Colorado University @ Boulder Alum Chris Naeole as the new interim University of Hawaii Football Coach. We are so excited for you! I still remember hanging out at the UMC, walking to the Hill, eating at Abo’s & Tulagi’s. I remember training tables being catered by Pasta Jay’s. I remember eating 10 cent wings every Tuesday at Potter’s and chilling at the Dal-Ward. Man those were the good old days! We believe that you can right the ship and get UH back to the glory days of the Sugar Bowl!

There are over 10,000 high school football teams in America. Every company will miss a few things here and there. MaxPreps does a great job given the limited resources they have in Hawaii.

@trojansarecoming, u got that right about maxpreps, this is the same poll that had mililani in the top 10 right. Dont tell me u believed that hype, otherwise, ur a hypocrite. Unless u crack the top 25 in a poll like USA today or ESPN, ur program isnt getting much props. Until then, trojans still not in the big boy league, unlike Big Red, the crusaders and even the Puns too i think.
Enjoy the ride while it lasts, cause it looks like after this year and for the next couple of years, trojans going to be lucky to make it past OIA’s.
@Paper Crane maybe you can start up a website that covers the entire US and feature multiple sports. I am sure you would make sure that all the schools across the nation, especially in Delaware, Vermont, Idaho, etc., have all the info updated.
