Hawaii high school football fans can get their fill of scrimmages starting Thursday. And it’s a pretty good lineup, too, featuring many of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s season-ending top 10 from 2016. Hawaii Baseball Group off to hot start

The Hawaii Baseball Group, a summer traveling team coached by former UH assistants Keith Komeiji and Chad Konishi, are 6-2 on their current trip to California. Dom Ahuna won’t call plays from the ‘Iolani sideline, but his coaching efforts could be a key to the Raiders’ season. The Islanderz girls basketball team had a phenomenal performance that was hotter than July. The Islanderz, coached by Scott Cambra, went 5-0 in the Cal Storm tournament’s highest division, Showcase/Diane Taurusi. That netted the team from Oahu co-championship honors with EBO Black in the nine-team division, which had no playoff bracket.
