‘Iolani’s early season girls volleyball resume is impressive. The Raiders won their annual Ann Kang Invitational earlier this month and have some good wins over big-name mainland teams. Despite allowing its first touchdown of the season in a 40-6 win over Moanalua on Friday, the Kahuku Red Raiders jumped two spots to No. 23 in the MaxPreps Xcellent25 national high school football rankings released Monday. No. 8 Kailua did a lot of things right in a 40-14 dismantling of Nanakuli on Saturday night at Alex Kane Stadium. The young Farrington Governors made their first-ever win at Skippa Diaz Stadium a big one, a 28-7 upset of No. 5 Kapolei on Saturday night.
