HAWAII GROWN: Milton added to Maxwell list

Central Florida sophomore quarterback McKenzie Milton, a 2016 Mililani graduate, was one of 13 players added to the 2017 Maxwell Award Watch List today. The Maxwell Award is presented each year to the most outstanding collegiate football player in the country. Milton currently ranks in the top 15 nationally in four offensive categories. OIA volleyball playoff matchups nearly set

The final seeding for the OIA Division I girls volleyball playoffs will be decided Monday between Radford and Campbell in the final game of the regular season. The winner will receive the fifth seed out of the West and the loser will be the sixth seed. The playoffs begin Wednesday. HPA forfeits season finale to Konawaena

For the first time in the football program’s history, Hawaii Preparatory Academy will forfeit a game due to roster concerns. Athletic Director Stephen Perry confirmed on Friday morning that the game with Konawaena has been forfeited due to a lack of numbers. Ka Makani finish the season 2-6 (1-6) this season. Kamehameha safety invited to Polynesian Bowl

Kamehameha defensive back Kalamaku Kuewa has been invited to participate in the 2018 Polynesian Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 20, at Aloha Stadium. Kuewa, a 6-foot, 185-pound safety, has intercepted at least one pass in all seven games for the Warriors this season. He also forced a fumble in a 23-12 loss to Saint Louis last Friday and had two picks in the season-opening win against Farrington, returning one 71 yards for a score.
