Wise, Wusstig go for 3 state judo titles

Moanalua’s Noah Wusstig and Mililani’s Mayu Wise are halfway to the career slam and will attempt to win their third state judo titles at the 2018 Atlas/HHSAA State Judo Championships on Saturday at the Stan Sheriff Center. HAWAII GROWN: Ah-Hoy forced to medically retire

Kahuku alumnus Kesi Ah-Hoy, who played five games as a true freshman at Oregon State last season, is no longer listed on the roster and has been forced to medically retire, sports information director Steve Fenk confirmed today. Ah-Hoy remains on scholarship and in school and is helping the team on the recruiting side. Punahou’s Duke Clemens has earned an invitation to the 2019 Polynesian Bowl All-Star game today. Clemens, a 6-foot-4, 250-pound offensive lineman, holds 16 scholarship offers: Arizona State, Boise State, California, Duke, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Oregon State, Rice, San Diego State, Syracuse, UCLA, Utah, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Washington State. Nam takes hold of her third OIA golf title

Kaiser senior Malia Nam shot a 6-under 66 as a part of a two-round total of 8-under 136 to win her third OIA girls golf championship Tuesday at the Turtle Bay Fazio Course. Nam also won the titles when she was a freshman and in a nine-hole playoff against Kalani’s Miki Manta as a junior. As a sophomore, she lost to Manta.
