Cheyenne Ardona sure picked the perfect time to have the best pitching performance of her career. The 2018 Wally Yonamine Foundation/HHSAA State Baseball Championships begin today with four first-round games in Division I at Les Murakami Stadium. Updates will follow below. The first two games of the Wally Yonamine Foundation/HHSAA State Baseball Championships have been dominated by pitching. Kailua’s Bryson Ballesteros threw the second shutout in as many games on Tuesday, allowing just two hits in a 3-0 win over Leilehua to give the Surfriders (13-3) their first win to open the state tournament in four years.
