Mike Bellotti, who has won more games than any other head coach at the University of Oregon, and former Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn will serve in the same positions for the 2019 Polynesian Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Aloha Stadium. Punahou’s Horn sold on Washington

Punahou placekicker Timothy Horn, the No. 3-rated kicker in the country according to Chris Sailer Kicking, announced on Twitter Monday that he has committed to Washington. Kamehameha’s Kuewa to play for Hawaii

Kamehameha safety Kalamaku Kuewa, a second-team All-State safety from Kamehameha who made eight interceptions during his senior season, will play for Hawaii next season. The Star-Advertiser’s Stephen Tsai broke the story, which you can read here. Kuewa ended his senior season playing in the Polynesian Bowl in January.

HAWAII GROWN: UCF launches MIlton #HIsman bid

Central Florida released a video and launched a website to begin the campaign for a potential Heisman Trophy winning season for junior quarterback McKenzie Milton, a 2016 Mililani alumnus. Waiakea alum Kean Wong, who was the Honolulu Star-Advertiser All-State position player of the year in 2012, is an all star for the third time in five years. An infielder/outfielder for the Durham Bulls in the Tampa Bay Rays’ farm system, Wong was named to the 2018 Triple-A All-Star Game on July 11 in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday. Polynesian Bowl to air nationally

The Polynesian Bowl Hall of Fame and CBS Sports have agreed to a multi-year partnership that will televise the Polynesian Bowl live on CBS Sports Network. The third annual Polynesian Bowl, a high school football all-star game held at Aloha Stadium, will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Aloha Stadium. Hawaii News Now will produce the Polynesian Bowl broadcast and air the game locally on KGMB on tape delay the day after the live broadcast on CBS Sports Network. […]
