HG: Ahuna among 56 D-I volleyball players from Hawaii

Opening week of the collegiate volleyball season was the first opportunity for 56 Division I players from Hawaii to begin their seasons on the mainland. UC Riverside’s Ka’iulani Ahuna, a 2015 Kamehameha-Hawaii alumna, was one of the standouts. She was named the AVCA national player of the week on Tuesday after winning Big West player of the week honors on Monday. A day after dropping a spot in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 national rankings, Saint Louis made a small jump in the USA Today Super 25, moving up to No. 13 in the latest rankings released today.
