Kapolei looks the part after winning OIA soccer title

How good is Kapolei? The Hurricanes beat Mililani 3-0, fighting off 20-mph winds in the process, for the OIA Division I boys soccer championship Saturday night at Kaiser Stadium. Waiakea ends Konawaena’s BIIF title run

The drought has finally ended for Waiakea. The Warriors got 17 points from Tayvia Cabatbat to topple Konawaena 58-48 for the Big Island Interscholastic Federation championship on Saturday night at Col. Ellison Onizuka Gymnasium. Waiakea ended Konawaena’s iron fist atop the BIIF standings. Konawaena had won 10 league championships in a row. Waiakea also ended a title drought that went all the way back to 2008. Pac-Five freshman sets record at ILH swimming

Punahou swept the boys and girls teams titles at the ILH Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday, but the only record-breaking performance was by a freshman from Pac-Five. Grace Monahan won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 2.02 seconds, breaking Jasmine Mau’s league record set in 2013. Monahan beat Kamehameha senior Jamy Lum, the defending league champion in the event, by more than six seconds. Monahan won both events she competed in. Her time of 54.82 seconds in the […]

‘Iolani breaks through for first ILH title since 2012

‘Iolani’s 60-48 win over Kamehameha tonight means the Raiders have their first Interscholastic League of Honolulu girls basketball championship since 2012. In the six years since that crown, Kamehameha (’13), Punahou (’14) and Maryknoll (’15-’18) ruled the throne. In ’12, the Raiders reached the state final after defeating Mililani and Lahainaluna, but lost to Konawaena 56-45 for the title.
