Baldwin’s Jahnea Miguel found a new home at 138 pounds, and it feels much like all of her others. Miguel collected her third MIL title at a third different weight, stopping Chaenel Deluna of Molokai in two minutes to become the queen at 138 pounds. Lahainaluna’s Kawehi Gillcoat earned a couple of big victories in the MIL wrestling championships on Saturday at King Kekaulike. Gillcoat earned a rare individual achievement with a pin of Lanai’s Kekoa Catiel in 3 minutes, 19 seconds. He joined former teammate Kainalu Estrella, who did it last year, as just the second boy to complete the Maui slam. His second big victory has been done many times over.
