Ryan Hirata has been selected as ‘Iolani School’s new head coach for its boys basketball program. Hirata moves over to his alma mater from Mid-Pacific, where he coached for the past five seasons and was named the ILH coach of the year once. Eric Kadooka steps down, Alaka‘i Aglipay takes over Maryknoll baseball

Less than three years into his stint at Maryknoll, Eric Kadooka has stepped down as head baseball coach. Kadooka confirmed his resignation on Thursday night in a text to Hawaii Prep World. The school has promoted assistant coach Alaka‘i Aglipay, a former player for Kadooka at Punahou, to interim head coach.
