Roman Wilson may be the fastest wide receiver in the state — he is part of the 4×100 relay team that is two-tenths of a second short of a state record — but at his heart he is a craftsman. The Saint Louis junior was one of the top performers in the Adidas 7-on-7 National Championships (Tampa, Fla.) over the weekend, helping Team 808 Elite reach the semifinals out of a field of 32 teams.
Wilson currently holds D-I scholarship offers from Brigham Young, Hawaii and Utah State and hopes to improve on his 30 catches for 744 yards and seven touchdowns he had as a junior, when he made the Honolulu Star-Advertiser All-State first team.
