Mason Tufaga committed to Utah on Friday, spurning 16 other schools. Tufaga announced his decision via video on social media. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound senior linebacker from Saint Louis appeared to lean on the Utes during the recruiting process. Tufaga plans to graduate early and enroll in Salt Lake City for spring semester. Tausili Akana’s name is showing up on recruiters’ whiteboards, but he is simply happy to be playing football. The Kamehameha sophomore collected his fifth scholarship offer over the weekend. The world of Jayhawks and Vikings won’t be the same without Tanikeni “Isi” Holani. The Kansas and Hilo defensive tackle died on Saturday in Hilo. Holani was just 24.
