Wright replaces Ah-Hoy in Robinson Classic

Kahuku center Taimona Wright will replace Kesi Ah-Hoy at the Geremy Robinson Senior Classic. Brandyn Akana, who coached both players at Kahuku, made the announcement on Thursday. Wright is a 6-foot-4 senior who has an accurate mid-range jumper and played a supporting role in Kahuku’s ascent to the state championship. Robinson Senior Classic on Saturday at NBC

The Geremy Robinson Senior Basketball Classic will be played at Neal Blaisdell Center on Saturday. Previous exhibition games pitting high school seniors were held at Moanalua. The boys and girls matchups will begin in the early afternoon, followed by a Hawaii Swish (professional) game. The boys and girls games have a private-versus-public school format.
