Saint Louis to replace hoops, soccer coaches

Saint Louis School will be making coaching changes in basketball and soccer, according to athletic director Wade Okamura. Keith Spencer, who spent four years as the head coach of the Crusaders basketball team, will not return for next season. Saint Louis is coming off a 5-5 ILH season. Kalaheo’s Harrison named Gatorade POTY

Kalaheo’s Kupa’a Harrison was named the Gatorade boys basketball state player of the year on Friday. Harrison, who was second in the Star-Advertiser Fab. 15 voting behind teammate Kaleb Gilmore, helped lead the Mustangs to a 31-3 record and a state championship. The 6-foot-5 guard/forward averaged 13.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.8 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. Molina named Gatorade POY again

Another year, another Gatorade shower for Chanelle Molina. USA Today reports that the Konawaena basketball standout was selected as Gatorade player of the year in Hawaii for the second season in a row. Molina sparked her Wildcats to the Division I state championship in February (17 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals per game). Gatorade’s firm criteria includes an emphasis in academics.
