I’ve watched Peralta’s match at least a dozen times and I still love it! That was one of the best domination pins I’ve seen.

Mark B. It’s cool you think she’s good and she is but that was by no means the most dominant performance from a wrestler. It wasn’t even the most dominant of the tournament. I’m not a huge fan of Iolani but did you watch Pascua at all?

Also if we are speaking about her wrestling she looks strong and dominant but she can still improve. One thing to note is her control of the center of the mat, when it gets to the edge she backs off and gives up good mat position when she could easily used the edge of the mat to get a quick attack in and even have the ref thinking stalling already (which becomes important in tougher matches). I will say that she did a very good job when she got the girl in the air though.

When you win a match in 30 seconds I wouldn’t presume she did something wrong by going back to center. It looks to me like she wanted to keep the action going. I like KJ also but this
was definitely more fun to watch!

Hey I’m not arguing with you there Mark B. Or Kama (sounds like you may be the same person with different alliases) she did win in a undoubtly dominant fashion. I am saying though, small things like mat awareness and control are very important in a match where you are not outclassing your opponent. Not saying that she won’t breeze through the state of Hawaii but as I understand it she has plans on competing nationally as well.

Don’t get me wrong I think she’s good and dominant just a bit of an observation that may help in future tough matches. I’ve heard Ariola is a good coach so I’m sure he’s picked up on the same things I may have.

    Aloha Underdog,

It’s just me. Thanks for the reply. I understand where you’re coming from and respect your opinion. I’m just trying to decompress after watching a whole bunch of wrestling for 2 days at officials. It’s nice to watch a fun match and smile a little, thats all. Merry Christmas!
