It was an uptempo, high-voltage offensive attack by Kapolei, opening a 17-point lead before hanging on for a 27-24 win over Aiea on Friday night.
Quarterbacks Tama Amisone, with 276 yards and two touchdowns from scrimmage, and Tuli Tagovailoa-Amosa (two TD passes) sparked the Hurricanes’ offense. Na Alii had the ball after recovering an on-side kick with 18 seconds left, giving Hurricane fans a potentially dangerous final sequence.
