VIDEO: Coaches spent mini-break on date nights, family time

The short break between the league playoffs and the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Football State Championships gave coaches and players a bit of down time. Darren Johnson (Campbell), Sterling Carvalho (Kahuku), Savaii Eselu (Moanalua), Mark Kurisu (Leilehua), Philip Rapozo (Kapaa), Dean Rickard (Lahainaluna), Kaeo Drummondo (Hilo) and Shaun Perry (Kamehameha-Hawaii) responded with a variety of answers.

    too long the break. Hawaii football system thumbs down. Also , just like how punahou had to beat saint louis twice, that shouldve been done in the OIA too. Mililani won the league through regular season play. in playoffs, Kahuku shouldve have played mililani twice, beat them twice for the title. I just dont get the hawaii system. Or also with these extra weeks, how about the #3 Oia play the # 2 ILH to get a spot in the state tournament. Since we have all these extra weeeks, why not make use of it. Shame on Hawaii.
