Update: Saint Louis 49, ‘Iolani 13, final

5:09 p.m.
We’re about 4 minutes away from kickoff for No. 3 Saint Louis and No. 10 ‘Iolani. They have quite a history together.

5:21 p.m.
Keoni-Kordell Makekau’s 30-yard field goal gives ‘Iolani a 3-0 lead with 9:39 to go in the first quarter.

5:28 p.m.
Crusaders are in hurry-up mode and drive to the ‘Iolani 8-yard line before stalling. On fourth down, they go for it rather than kick a field goal, which leads to a fumble by Ryder Kuhns by ‘Iolani’s pass rush. Adam Noga picks up the ball and tries to make something out of nothing, but he gets corralled at the 18. Raiders ball.

5:42 p.m.
Raiders drive, convert on a fourth down, and hit paydirt on an 8-yard toss from Easton Tsubata to Jordan Ross, who was not covered. ‘Iolani 10, Saint Louis 0, 3:35, first quarter.

5:44 p.m.
The Crusaders answer quickly. Adam Noga rips a 67-yard run, then scores on a 10-yard blast. ‘Iolani 10, Saint Louis 7, 2:37, first quarter.

5:57 p.m.
Keoni-Kordell Makekau with another field goal. This one is from 41 yards out. ‘Iolani 13, Saint Louis 7, second quarter, 10:55.

6:13 p.m.
Saint Louis strikes big with a 79-yard bomb from Ryder Kuhns to Drew Kobayashi. They had tried it during the previous possession, an incompletion that left Kobayashi, cornerback Max Look and a Saint Louis cheerleader in a pileup near the sideline. Max was shaken up on the play. The cheerleader and Kobayashi were OK. Saint Louis 14, ‘Iolani 13, 7:15, second quarter.

The Raiders have been hoarding the ball for most of the half, but the Crusaders’ hurry-up offense is starting to wear down ‘Iolani’s defense.

6:19 p.m.
Adam Noga rolls around right end for a 7-yard touchdown run. The hurry-up is waring down the Raiders a lot this quarter. Saint Louis 21, ‘Iolani 13, 2:41, second quarter.

6:30 p.m.
Crusaders drive again and score on a 1-yard run by Raymond Cayaan. Big pass was from Kuhns to Allan Cui to set up the TD. Saint Louis 28, ‘Iolani 13, :24, second quarter.

6:49 p.m.
First play from scrimmage in the second half: Adam Noga up the gut for a 54-yard touchdown. This came after a 44-yard kick return by Devan Stubblefield. Saint Louis 35, ‘Iolani 13, 11:35, third quarter.

6:52 p.m.
Saint Louis DB Jacob Lacaden’s pick-6 called back by a personal foul.

6:59 p.m.
Kuhns to Noga for a 27-yard screen pass and touchdown on a nice cutback. Saint Louis 42, ‘Iolani 13, third quarter, 7:36.

7:10 p.m.
Backup quarterback Jimmy Nunuha runs in for a 19-yard touchdown. He’s fairly tall (6 feet) and smooth, nice throwing delivery, but what I like best is the way he runs the speed option. Nice. Saint Louis 49, ‘Iolani 13, less than 4 minutes left, third quarter.
